Acute inpatient services for adolescents are offered at Potomac Ridge Behavioral Health at Rockville’s Chesapeake Unit. The Chesapeake Unit provides 24-hour a day inpatient care for adolescents whose acute symptoms require a safe and structured therapeutic environment. This inpatient unit utilizes an interdisciplinary team approach. The team includes psychiatrists, social workers, psychiatric nurses, art therapists, certified therapeutic recreation therapists, case managers, and mental health technicians who work with the individual and the individual’s family.
