Therapeutic Services
The core of physical and/or occupational therapy treatment focuses on therapeutic exercise and functional training including:
- Gait and transfer training
- Balance training
- Therapeutic strengthening/endurance exercises
- Joint mobilization
- Massage
- Ultrasound
- Individualized exercise
- Programs for stretching and/or strengthening muscles
- Wound care
- Group treatment with PT/PTA in Rockville center
Duration of Therapy
The length of physical and/or occupational therapy varies based on patient age, fitness and level of motivation.

Knee Replacements

Therapy usually lasts for 6 to 8 weeks with 2-3 sessions per week. |

Hip Replacements
|
Therapy begins with 2-3 weeks of home therapy followed by 3-4 weeks of outpatient therapy two to three sessions per week. |
